I put this into my higher lobe piercing and it’s adorable. I was able to get it in w no special tools and it’s been snug since. I love it!
This earring has been a lifesaver! I have a helix piercing that is about 3 years old and was consistently getting irritated and infected. I tried studs and hoops but it continued to be a problem. I decided I was going to give this piercing one more chance and try something a little different. The U hoop has been a game changer. No irritation and insanely comfortable to wear and sleep with. I no longer want to give up on that piercing and let it close. Huge bonus that it's solid gold and very cool. You can't go wrong.
It took a little while to wear it in, but once I did, it became really comfortable. It’s also super cute and looks great on. I do wish the instructions were explained a bit better and that it came with the necessary tool, which would have made the process easier. Overall, I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend!
I have a lot of lobe piercings that I rarely change out, and was excited to add this to the stack! If you're used to putting in internally threaded or tiny studs, then this one is about on par in terms of difficulty to put in - but since then I've had it on for several weeks with no issues! The 5 mm works fits snugly on my upper lobe and stays in place. Highly recommend!
